Kamila grew up and trained in southern California in many different styles of dance since she was a young girl. She performed in many shows as dancer / singer and competed and won numerous awards. For the past 15 years she has enjoyed choreographing and teaching students from ages 2&up. She is also the assistant director at Kane Dance Academy.
Kamila has been apart of Hollywood Dance Experience since 2008 working the desk, assisting teachers and teaching classes. She truly loves teaching and being able to share her love of dance with dancers of all ages.
Mikaela Jagim grew up in Des Moines, Iowa training extensively in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. She also traveled the country attending and assisting for various dance conventions in order to expand her training and diversity. Mikaela now lives in Los Angeles as a professional dancer working with and assisting some of the industries top choreographers as well as performing in shows such as the Latin American Music Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards, music videos for artists such as Derek Hough and Westlvnd, commercials for The Greatest Showman, Hi Chew, and much more. Mikaela’s passion lies in dance, in learning, and in being able to share that with the people around her. She hopes to use dance to inspire and to make a difference in people’s lives.
Kristy is a familiar face to convention attendees, having traveled over 12 years with national dance conventions. Her expertise in ballet, pas de deux, lyrical, and jazz has titled her Best Choreographer and Teacher of the Year at both regional and national competitions for several years running. Kristy also has an extensive background in musical theater and has choreographed “West Side Story”, “Grease”, “Oklahoma", "Guys and Dolls”, and “High School Musical” to name a few. Kristy has not only taught master classes for studios, colleges, and dance seminars across the U.S. and Canada but is also owner / artistic director of Kane Dance Academy in Southern California where she enjoys working with students of all ages and directing their progress and their growing love for dance. Kristy is currently the head dance coach at California Baptist University in Riverside, CA. Kristy is happy to say she was on the faculty for Hollywood Dance Experience’s Premier Tour!
Originally from Miami, Florida, Stacey began her love of dance at the age of seven, under the direction of many great instructors such as Gloria Gaither, Judith Newman, Mariana Alvarez Brake and Victoria Leigh. She attended and graduated from The Harid Conservatory. At Harid, she had the honor of studying with Marjorie Tallchief, Tina Santos-Wahl, Olivier Pardina, and Demetrius Klein; as well as working under some of the greats, such as Maria Tallchief, David Howard, Violette Verdy, Igor Youskevitch, among many others. At the age of 17, Stacey received a contract with the Sarasota Ballet. She was also a guest performer with the Sarasota Opera. She danced with Ballet Eddy Toussaint, USA as a principal artist. She performed the lead in Toussaint’s collaborated production of “Mystere de Quebec”. Stacey went on to dance with Ballet Memphis and later joined Atlanta Ballet in 1998, under the direction of John McFall. For six seasons she danced in a number of notable shows. After leaving the Atlanta Ballet, Stacey began her free-lance career. She has performed with Bacchus Productions, Room to Move, Brooks and Company, Georgia Ballet, Statesboro Youth Ballet, Sawnee Ballet Theatre, Wilmington Ballet Theatre, and North Atlanta Dance Theatre., among many others.
Stacey began her teaching career 20 years ago. She has taught for Atlanta Ballet Center for Dance Education, and North Atlanta Dance Academy; where she has been on faculty as an instructor, coach, choreographer, coordinator, and ballet mistress for the past nine years. She has also been a guest teacher for Sugarloaf Performing Arts, Emory University, Kennesaw State University, Wilmington School of Ballet, Project Dance, Perimeter Ballet, Dance 101, Pebblebrook High School, and The Harid Conservatory, among others. She also teaches for The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Stacey has been coaching students for notable competitions, such as Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and Universal Ballet Competition (UBC), for the past five years. Stacey is the co-founder/director of Ballet-by-Day, a supplemental dance program for homeschool and online students.
Melissa began her career at age 6. She filmed and performed in numerous T.V. shows, including “Family Ties” and “Rags to Riches”. While under contract with the Disney Company, Melissa did print work, filmed television specials and commercials, and was principal dancer in several Disney stage shows. She has worked with Michael J. Fox, Little Richard, Dick Van Dyke, Chubby Checker, and Frankie Avalon to name a few.
Melissa has passed on her experience in Hollywood teaching, choreographing, and now directing with the prestigious Ahwatukee Children’s Theater. Melissa brings to you her love and enthusiasm for dance, kids, and their individual progress.
Megan Snow was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona where she studied dance, voice and acting. Megan began her dance training at the age of 4 and was a member of a competitive dance company for 10 years.
At the age of 10 Megan added vocal training and found herself on stage in many musical productions. Her favorite roles include Paulette in "Legally Blonde", Julia in "The Wedding Singer" and Mrs. Dilber in "A Christmas Carol". Megan was also a member and dance captain of award winning show choirs for 8 years. With these choirs she toured and performed in Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Hawaii,Los Angeles, Brandon and New York.
In 2013 Megan began teaching at Ahwatukee Children's Theatre. She worked in the elementary program teaching show choir and directing musical productions. She discovered she had a passion for working with children which lead her to her major in college , Elementary Education. She currently attends ASU and is working as an elementary resource assistant in the Kyrene School District.
Megan is thrilled to have the opportunity to join the HDE team and work with the mini dancers.
Mariah Spears is a twenty-four year old dancer from Chandler, Arizona. She began dancing when she was two years old, and is trained in ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, krump, popping, breaking, locking, salsa, tap, ballroom, and tumbling. She trained at Classic Image Dance in Arizona through out her childhood, and began competing dance at the age of 5. She graduated from Chapman University with a BFA in Dance Performance and clusters in Theater Technology and Honors in 2016. Mariah has been featured on commercials such as Allstate, Sonos Holiday Commercial, Hollister, SoFi, and The Greatest Showman Live commercial.
In 2013, Mariah was a featured performer as one of the top 16 dancers on Fox Television's Season 10 of "So You Think You Can Dance”. Mariah has choreographed for artists such as Warren G and Snoop Dogg. Her work is featured in the movie G-Funk coming to theaters this fall. She also has choreographed commercially for Nike and House of Hoops. Mariah is currently traveling and teaching around the world; having taught in Australia and Paris, and around the US. She has taught for The Music Room for 5 years, and has loved seeing the children grow. She is also currently teaching with the touring convention Hollywood Dance Experience. Hollywood Dance Experience is known for its strong technical classes and personalized attention.
